Welcome to Just Pets, a Dog Walking, Pet Sitting Service in Athlone and surrounding area, set up in July 2009

My name is Ellen McArdle, I set up Just Pets after doing some research first to see would there be a market for it, and yes there seemed to be .People that I spoke to who have pets were very interested in this service so here I am. I have always loved animals, we always had cats and a dog at home when I was growing up, and I would spend a lot of time with them, Animals are my passion, I love them and there is nothing more enjoyable than doing a job you love.

I have been a volunteer for the ASPCA (Athlone and West Midlands Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) for the last seven years, I take the dogs out for walks, clean kennels, administer medicine, basically do what I can to help out. Hobbit is my dog (my companion) I adopted her from the ASPCA when she was a puppy, she is five now and often accompanies me on some of my walks where she makes loads of friends. I have a FETAC Level 5 in Animal Care which I completed in May 2008. I am fully insured to take dogs out walking.
